Red Sand - Arts Management

The Melbourne Centre is a community centre housed in a Victorian building in the South of York. Accessible Arts and Cube Media, two local arts agencies specialising in media projects and training for young people and those with disabilities (now merged to form Accessible Arts & Media), took occupancy of the building in 2005 and are now developing plans for major renovation and refurbishment that will transform the centre into an exemplary inclusive community and media training centre for the city.

An annual 2-day event organised by the traders in the Quarter, the Festival of Angels is a pre-Christmas event with festive food and drink stalls, live music, ice sculptures and a guarantee of snow...

An integral part of SightSonic International Festival of Digital Arts, the Artists Platform is a showcase for emerging artists whose work has digital technology at the heart of the creative process. The 2006 Platform saw 10 artists exhibit their work at York St John University.
