Expressions! is a 2-day festival held in the heart of York's city centre.

The festival features colourful, energetic performances of music and dance from across the globe and is created entirely by local people for local people.

Bollywood Tyohar was a large-scale community dance project led by artistic director Zoobin Surty and featuring over 60 members of the local community from York and Leeds.

The project culminated in performances at the Grand Opera House, York and the Carriageworks, Leeds in summer 2008.

YUMI (York Unifying Multicultural Initiative) is a grassroots, voluntary network that works interculturally on collaborative arts projects and events that aim to open dialogue between different groups in the community and to inspire mutual understanding and respect.

SightSonic, based in York, is an annual digital arts festival that aims to present and promote artworks that have digital technology at the heart of the creative process.

Presented over a weekend at venues across the city, SightSonic presents work by leading national and international artists whilst fostering the work of new and emerging artists.

The BA Festival is the largest of its kind in Europe and the UK's longest-established science festival.

Me, Myself and MRI was a 2-year sci-art project, funded by the Wellcome Trust Arts Awards, Arts Council England, SightSonic, York Neuroimaging Centre, Creative York and the Dana Foundation.

Hive Twilight City was a series of four high profile audiovisual performances produced by the Hive Collective over the course of 2008 in tribute to a potentially overlooked part of Liverpool's essence: its industrial and business buildings, its bricks and plate glass; the iconic and the mundane, the city centre and the suburb.

NYMAZ is the Youth Music Action Zone for rural North Yorkshire, established to bring high quality music-making activities to children and young people in the region's rural areas.
