Red Sand - Arts Management

Expressions! is a 2-day festival held in the heart of York's city centre.

The festival features colourful, energetic performances of music and dance from across the globe and is created entirely by local people for local people.

As well as live performances from a range of aritsts, from local commuity groups to leading international musicians, the festival features a range of cultural activities led by members of the local community and fabulous food from many different cultures, prepared by the YUMI cooks - local community members trained to a professional standard who prepare and sell mouthwatering fare from their home cultures.

red sand conducted the evaluation of the 2008 festival, contributing to the organisation's ongoing strategic development.
