SightSonic 2008 featured live performances from People Like Us & Ergo Phizmiz, Kozo Inada & Christophe Charles, Jonathan Green and Semiconductor alongside installaions from Angie Atmadjaja and Maggie Hall, artist-led seminars and work by 12 emerging digital artists in the Artists Platform.
A series of four events programmed by the Hive Collective as part of the Liverpool 08 programme celebrating Liverpool's year as European Capital of Culture.
YoMü was an artist led visual arts festival held in York in August 2007. Its aims were to develop professional artist practice and explore new ways of engaging with audiences. Artists from across the UK and from Münster created over 40 projects throughout the festival, including studio work, exhibitions, installations and interventions.
The Artists Platform is part of SightSonic digital arts festival. Emerging digital artists from across the UK exhibit new work in a supportive environment and meet curators, programmers and established international artists over the course of the weekend.
Each year artists from previous years' Platforms are invited back to show new work as part of the core festival programme.
