Red Sand - Arts Management

Bollywood Tyohar is a large-scale community dance project led by artistic director Zoobin Surty and featuring over 60 members of the local community from York and Leeds.

The project will culminate in performances at the Grand Opera House, York and the Carriageworks, Leeds in summer 2008.

Red Sand provided support in developing the project, engaging partners and securing funds from Arts Council England.

The final performances will take the audience on a journey through the festivals and celebrations of India, incorporating traditional Indian dance styles, more contemporary Bollywood moves and a multimedia backdrop created by artist Huw Griffiths.
